Thailand & EU-GACP certified indoor cultivation

Solar Farm is a GACP-certified indoor medical cannabis farm in Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani, about 30 km north of Bangkok. We are certified to both Thailand’s GACP (MOPH/DTAM) and EU-GACP standards, so licensed buyers in Thailand and importers across the EU work from the same documented quality baseline.

Inside the facility

Our site spans 5,800 m² in total, including a new 2,700 m² building, with 22 dedicated flowering rooms and a production capacity of around 400 kg per month. Cultivation is fully enclosed, with 24/7 climate control and full-spectrum LED lighting, so every room holds the same repeatable environment batch after batch.

Quality, testing & traceability

Every batch follows GACP workflow with full seed-to-shipment traceability and ships with a third-party Certificate of Analysis (COA). An in-house HPLC lab is being commissioned to add our own potency checks, with flower typically testing 24–30% THC and under 1% CBD. The documentation supports both domestic distribution and export readiness.

Wholesale & export

We supply premium hand-trimmed flower, trimmed and un-trimmed material, and popcorn to licensed wholesale buyers, with wholesale flower from THB 40 per gram at volume. We hold export documentation for licensed importers in Germany and the wider EU and welcome enquiries from qualified international buyers. Indoor, greenhouse or sun-grown?

We are asked this most weeks, so to be direct: Solar Farm Thailand is neither sun-grown nor greenhouse. Cultivation is fully indoor, in sealed rooms under climate control, and it has been that way from the start.

The three methods do not produce the same product. Sun-grown cannabis is field-grown under natural light and open to the weather. A greenhouse uses natural light inside a physical shell but stays partly open to outside air, so temperature, humidity and airborne microbial load still track the season. Indoor cultivation uses sealed rooms with filtered air and climate control running 24 hours a day, which takes seasonality out of the equation.

In a tropical climate that distinction carries real weight. Thailand’s monsoon brings months of sustained high humidity and elevated airborne mould and yeast counts. In a sealed room those are controlled inputs rather than seasonal variables, which is what keeps microbial results repeatable from batch to batch on a certificate of analysis. It is not a stylistic preference, it is how a specification stays stable across the year. See how we run air quality and yeast and mould control across drying, trimming and packaging.

The name comes from the land, not the growing method. The site in Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani carries a solar installation that predates the cannabis operation and exports power to the grid for the surrounding area. It does not run the farm. The solar came first, the cultivation came later on the same land, and the name stuck.

Frequently asked questions

Is Solar Farm sun-grown or greenhouse cannabis?
Neither. Solar Farm Thailand is a fully indoor medical cannabis farm. All cultivation takes place in sealed, climate-controlled rooms with filtered air. The name refers to the land, not the growing method.

What is the difference between indoor and greenhouse cannabis?
A greenhouse uses natural light and stays partly open to outside air, so temperature, humidity and airborne microbial load track the outdoor environment and the season. Indoor cultivation uses sealed rooms with filtered air and climate control running 24 hours a day, which removes seasonality and gives a repeatable microbial baseline across batches.

Why is it called Solar Farm if the cannabis is grown indoors?
The site in Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani carries a solar installation that predates the cannabis operation and exports power to the grid for the surrounding area rather than running the farm. The solar came first and the name stuck.

Is Solar Farm GACP certified?
Yes. Solar Farm holds both Thai GACP (MOPH/DTAM) and EU-GACP, and provides a third-party Certificate of Analysis (COA) on every batch.

Do buyers need a licence to purchase from Solar Farm Thailand?
Yes. Solar Farm Thailand supplies wholesale only, and licence verification is required before pricing, samples or certificates of analysis are shared. That applies to Thai buyers and to importers in export markets alike.

Does Solar Farm export?
Yes. We supply EU-GACP-grade flower with full export documentation to licensed importers in Germany and the wider EU. We are not currently supplying Australia.
